Next time you visit the FTTSA office, you will see three new faces hard at work. Bronwyn Howard, Charles Mametja, and Tatia Currie joined the FTTSA team as of 1 March 2004.

Bronwyn Howard is the new Marketing Manager. She brings with her marketing experience in the tourism industry including media liaison and promotional work for clients. "Working at FTTSA is an exciting challenge and a great opportunity to make a difference in tourism in South Africa," says Bronwyn. "FTTSA can improve the lives of locals who are affected directly or indirectly by tourism."

There are also two new staff who are working with emerging tourism enterprises. Tatia Currie joins us with development experience that includes designing and implementing a community-based tourism enterprise that is affiliated with the "Working for Water" project under the Department of Water and Forestry. "It's great to be in such a youthful and vibrant office environment," exclaims Tatia. "I've come at an exciting time for both FTTSA and IUCN. It's going to be a great year."

Charles Mametja is the new Development Officer Trainee. Currently working towards a Masters in eco-cultural tourism at the University of Pretoria, he is interested in the ways that people can benefit from community-based tourism. "Working at FTTSA is a nice transition to completing my studies," says Charles. "It's a good time to be here doing something that is related to what I'm studying."
