Hivos (Humanist Institute for Co-operation with Developing Countries) is a Dutch non-governmental organisation which operates on the basis of humanist values. Hivos aims to contribute towards a free, just and sustainable world. The organisation is committed to the poor and marginalised - and to the organisations which promote their interests - in countries in the South and in South-East Europe.
